EWS /Immobiliser issues?

Hi all,

I have a bone stock 02 R53, I have bypassed the cranking from the EWS by jumping the wire. So it will crank every time. However some times it will start and run then other times it will start and shut off after 1 or 2 seconds. Would this be an immobiliser issue? Is there a way to bypass this complete like a 70s car where is key only not electronics in the key head etc.

Any info would be great.

Thanks in

advance

Sounds like the immobilizer kicks in. There are members on the forum that have the immobilizer coded to be disabled. I think @adriancl can do this for you.

Thats awesome mate. I am in Australia is this still do able? I assume a laptop and a cable of some sort is required? I have wired in a hidden switch so I can cut the crank circuit so like a kill switch but just not for power.

Thanks

Ahh k awesome, do I need a special cable to do this? There aren't many people that touch these in Australia for tuning wise. Cheers

Indeed can be bypassed, ask Adrian on here or send it off to rpmmotorsport in BC and have them bypass it.

Best of luck
