Bimmercode [free?] App - Worth Playing With?

Before I go sit in the sweltering heat, is there anything worthwhile to the Bimmercode app? I think I have a compatible OBD BT dongle, used for ForScan on my prior Fords.

Downloaded the app, but haven't had time to look at it yet.

I have tinkered with a few settings on my previously owned R56 and current F56. Playing with different options is much easier in the app than trying to figure them out and code using software.
Some of the things I’ve done were disabling speed correction, lane change signal x5, lower windows and open sun roof when holding unlock button on remote, making audible car lock signal shorter and quieter. On F56 I set it to remember last driving mode on next start. And the one that made me absolutely happy - disabled dreadful engine auto-stop by default.
So it really depends on your needs.

Well, finally tried it today. Either my OBD MX isn't fully compatible, of the free version just doesn't do anything.
Not sure it's worth the $50 for the full version, not knowing if the MX is going to work.

Which dongle do you have? I’ve done my coding using VEEPEAK OBDCheck BLE Bluetooth OBD2.

It's an OBD MX that I've used for Forscan on my Fords.
It seems like it connected, but the free version just lets you demo the menus, can't write any changes.
Didn't really see much that looked worth changing.

Yeah, it really depends on your needs. I can’t recall if free version would actually show everything you can change, or if it just shows some generic set to be honest…
