R58 Coupe S Engine malfuntion
R58 Coupe S Engine malfuntion
Keep getting the engine malfunction warning when traveling uphill and if im in a higher gear. If I turn off the car and back on it will pop up at first but go away almost immediately. I get no real loss of power that I can tell but I just bought the car. I previously owned an R 56 S.
Also with a cold air intake I can't hear the turbo at all. Is that normal for an R58? In my R56 with a cold air intake I could hear my turbo and also my blow off valve but not at all in this one.
Changed spark plugs coils oil and cold air intake and cleaned maf sensor
No codes come on with the engine malfunction and check engine light is not on. The car drives the same with the engine malfunction warning or not
Mini dealer is over 90 miles away so I am checking here first and I have read all of the other threads on here already

All fixed
This situation has been fixed. Found out a vacuum line was disconnected from the turbo the whole time. I can hear the turbo spooling now and the blow off valve is working great and I have so much more power and don't get the engine malfunction warning anymore
