PO 2096 Trouble Code

Have something I can not fix. I have a PO 2096 and and after replacing the two O2 sensors can not reset the code. I read somewhere that not all scanners will reset the code. The code always show pending ,no matter how many times I rest with my scanner. Anyone around the 21074 area interested in helping out? I'm in the repair line but moved on to bigger vehicles (class 7-8 trucks)

I am in Dover, DE area and I have a Foxwell scanner. Let me know if you are in the area.

2096 code is hard to reset unless you have inpa or itsa. It is a stored hard code. Only other way is it can take up to 20 engine cycles for it to clear. The main issue is your fuel trims are all out of wake. So the new sensors have to relearn you fuel trims. If you have inpa. You can reset your fuel trims an you are to go. If not takes a while to relearn.

P2096 can be more than just O2 sensors, but it's a good start. Did you check short and long term fuel trims? Have you checked the exhaust system for leaks? Checked the vacuum lines, bypass valve, and PCV for leaks? I downloaded INPA after continuing to get the code after resetting with with Foxwell scanner. Resetting everything cured my code, but I ended up replacing an O2 sensor at the same time.
