Hard to start and misfires for a while after starting
2008 Mini Cooper S
The car has been harder and harder to start. Since a few weeks ago it takes a few cranks to catch and idles rough for a few seconds (everything normal after that). It sounds like 1 cylinder misfiring when its idling rough. Now it takes even more cranks to catch and idles even rougher for up to 30s which feels like 2 cylinders misfiring (but again everything normal after that). The car runs well apart from that, even at high boost. I have no error codes related to these except for the misfire codes (cylinder 1 and 3)
I have new spark plugs, ignition coils and battery so it is probably not spark related. Since it runs and pulls well, it doesn't seem compression related also.
Anyone experienced similar symptoms? Thinking if it is HPFP, the lower pressure fuel pump assembly (filter, pump, return valve) or something else.
