06 R52 - No cold AC air - but, Yes, the AC clutch/coil IS engaging the compressor
Stock Problems/IssuesDiscussions related to warranty related issues and repairs, or other problems with the OEM parts and software for MINI Cooper (R50), Cabrio (R52), and Cooper S (R53) MINIs.
I supported the engine/transmission to remove the left mount, and that made it easier to get all the AC lines out of the car.
Then I removed the expansion valve. It was easiest to just push the adapter and the expansion valve out through the engine bay, since I already had the lines removed and out of the way.
Old (top) vs New (bottom) - is there a way to see/understand what failed in the valve?
