I get my Cooper S in one week and was wondering what running in schedule the drivers manual suggests, and more importantly what you guys think.
I don't think I am gonna cope having to keep the S at low revs for the first few thousand miles - especially as I don't do that many miles anyway.

I have never had a car from new so this is new experience!!

If you look up 'break-in' on this site, you'll get to a rather lengthy article with the info you're looking for at the bottom. I can't recall exactally, but it was for something to the tune of 1400 miles, with low(er) revs...
