Hi everyone, looking for some opinions as to wether the below would work. The low speed resistor to the radiator fan has packed up so the fan is not kicking in at 105 Celsius. Not going to have a chance to change this for a while so I was thinking, if I put a jumper lead into the wiring as below (see red line) then the high speed fan would kick in when the ECU triggers the low speed. It looks like it will also kick in the Power steering fan too but that’s not the end of the world.
Being a 2002, it has the 2 plug set up with the relay located next to the resistor, so the external resistor mod isn’t a possibility. Any thoughts much appreciated.
