DME: No BSD Message from Alternator

Hi everyone,

I am having a problem with a DME fault code 002E1C in EU 2008 R56 Cooper S with Start/Stop. According to ISTA, I should check that the battery is correctly fastened, and that the positive wire is screwed onto the battery, alternator and starter. All of this appears to be okay, and the vehicle appears to charge normally. I am wondering, if I should change the voltage regulator as I am also having the start stop function inhibited due to an overcharge error? Are there any tests on ISTA that I can use to confirm this diagnosis?

Thanks for your time!

Did u ever figure out what caused this? I know it's a old thread and I'm hoping you will answer. I had a code pop up the same, then when I shut it off I had a no start no crank follow....
