Hi all,

I have a 2013 Coupe JCW. I was going down rough driveway and a hit a bump pretty hard that also scraped the bottom the car. Immediately after this, the car will idle rough for a moment, then idle fine. If i accelerate, it sounds like something is out of alignment.

Do you know what the issue could be?

Welcome - did you look under the front end or under the hood? What do you mean by "out of alignment?" Alignment usually refers to steering and there are not commonly noises associated with it. More info would be helpful.

 

The car is ruined! Need to sell ASAP!!!!



But, seriously, best option is to get it up on ramps or jack stands and look around underneath to see where the contact was made.

 

No point speculating until you get underneath it with a flash light, if you stuck something solid (rock) it will be easy to find as there will be evidence of the damage, and if you are experiencing performance based issues, then look for the damage on the engine, and fuel tank and check fuel lines to see if ones squished.
