P0597/598 and other electrical issues?

Hi everyone!
New mini owner and new forum member as well. I appreciate everyone's feedback on here and you guys have gotten me through a few issues. Anyway, I bought a 2009 base cooper with 102,000 miles for a pretty good price. It is my dream car but it may be becoming my nightmare 😫. I'm getting the dreaded the p0597/598 thermostat codes. When I first got it a couple of weeks ago, the yellow temp light would flash then go away. Recently it would light up red and I noticed the coolant boiling over. It was getting above the 221 degree threshold so I parked it and ordered the housing. I did the replacement myself and flushed out the entire system. It looked like a previous owner put stop leak into the coolant and there was all kinds of crap inside. Got everything buttoned back up, cleared codes, and boom...still there. I got the new thermostat housing from NAPA. I noticed a few other codes on top of the thermostat as well.... I'll list them. P0100, P0113 , P0010, P0444, P113b, P0458, B2aaa. While I was removing the wiring to do the thermostat today, I noticed it looks like all those said sensors may be wired off the same harness? Is it common or even possible for a side of the ECU to fail and cause a whole section of the motor to not get the correct voltage? Would a small break in a wire cause a domino effect down the line of the harness? or am I really looking at all seperate issues here. I may be completely missing the mark and be out of my mind but any input would be much appreciated. Thank you!
