N/A R55 rough idle when warm
N/A R55 rough idle when warm
Hello! I started having issues with my 09 clubman. It starts up fine, with a little blip of gas to make it idle at first, then it idles fine. However, once I drive for about 5-10 minutes, it tries to stall every time I let of the clutch at an intersection. I took it to a mechanic who said it was a faulty MAF after reading the codes.
(Prior to replacing the MAF, the codes were 272A, 2F1A, 2F22, 2B56, 2B51, and 2B5F)
It's also worth noting that a couple months prior to these issues, I replaced the coolant temperature sensor housing with an aftermarket one because I was in a hurry. Anyway, my mechanic replaced the MAF and it got rid of some of the codes but not all (2F1A and 272A remained). With the new MAF, the car is running better but still idles rough and only occasionally tries to stall. I'm thinking maybe a faulty/aftermarket coolant temp sensor is causing the engine to run on a rich/cold mode causing the rough idle but I'm not sure.
If anyone has any ideas and could help me out with this please let me know.
Thanks, A concerned r55 owner.
Edit: I also have 2845 code

Update on the issue: I replaced my tstat with an oem part, and that got rid of my coolant temp code. It also helped my engine run a bit smoother. I also pulled out the VANOS solenoids and cleaned them. Both of these made the engine run a little smoother but still didn't fix the issue.
