2008 Clubman S-no compression in 2nd valve..advice
I hope I am posting in right spot.
Long story short, I should have allowed it to be totaled when I hit the deer. However, 2 days prior I had 2 tires replaced which capped off 3 months worth of engine work at a total of $4800. Fast forward 9 months. Loss of power on way to work. Had a wrecker pick it up. Thought it was the turbo, which is practically the only thing that hadn't been replaced. Came back it loss of compression in the 2nd valve.
Honestly, I can't put more into it. In the 9 months, I have spent close to a thousand on odds and ends..but I just have one that has problems.
So my question. Would I be better off calling a parts yard to buy it, or to try and sell it as is. It is fully loaded with practically everything that was offered for the 08 S model. It has around 145k miles and 6 speed. And what do you think would be a fair price for it.
I really hate to loose her, but I just can't afford to keep putting money into it.
12 year old car, salvage title, 145k miles which probably needs a top end rebuild - not sure if you really want to ask that question.
Nice rims though!
Dude that sucks. Not bragging but I bought her on 11/31. Since then $260 on new coolant tank installed, first week. January new clutch $1400 installed. This past Monday $420 for new tires installed. And what do I do for her on Valentine’s Day, $300 for forge noise maker delete, plugs, aFe drop in, and g plus intercooler. It’s an addiction, I’m hooked and I hope the Dragon is clear on the 29th.
