Another gritty clutch question

I had the clutch replaced by Mini dealer about 8K miles ago. They replaced the guide tube and used clutch set #218020. when I type that in google it shows kits that include the throwout bearing so I assume this was replaced as well (better have been). The clutch now has this sort up stickyness, like little stutters when it is pressed, its not bad but enough to be annoying, clutch seems to be working perfectly. I notice that it doesn't do it at all if its in neutral, just when its in gear. Does that point to any particular issue? Thanks -

Could the clutch job still be under warranty? Most places offer 12k/12mos.

Doesn't sound perfect at all. Sounds like something is wrong, possibly getting ready to go very wrong. If they try to gaslight you when you take it back in, maybe consider another BMW / Mini dealership (one possibly better rated) to look at the issue under warranty. It shouldn't be doing what it's doing.

I guess what I meant is there is no slipping, noise, it engages at the same point as always, brake fluid level is stable and so on. So it seems to be the throwout bearing or guide tube. I do a lot of mech work myself, build engines etc but mostly on chevys, never been into a mini before. I didnt know if anyone here knew if the set number I listed below actually came with a throw out bearing or not and if symptoms disappearing in neutral was a clue to anything. The closest mini dealer to me is over an hour away so Im gauging the PITA factor here. Its also time for supercharger service and if it had to be apart anyway for that it may be worth doing both in my shop Thanks - . Oh and the work was done in 2015, so I doubt its covered (unless mini does 'whichever comes last' which doesnt seem likely...)

I agree there should be sort of warranty on your clutch job. Did they also replace the flywheel?

I would take it back to the shop that did the work and present it not in an accusatory way but "when I push in the clutch when in gear this happens" way.
