CC ID 029... car seems fine?
Hi everyone.
I bought my 2009 Cooper S a little under a year ago, and is has 122k miles on it now. Everything was great, until a couple months into ownership, when I first got the half power light. I noticed, howerver, that the power was the exact same. I tried to take it into the stealership, but the light had gone away by the time I actually got it there. Ever since then the light has been on and off, and the car feels pretty much the same.
In an effort to try to solve the problem I replaced the spark plugs, the leaky valve cover, and most recently the diverter valve. Then I figured out how to read the code and found CC ID 029, which seems to be the HPFP, however the car doesn't have any of the symptoms of a bad HPFP. It cold starts as good as when I first got it and the idle is fine. Does anyone have an idea what could be wrong?
