P112b

Well, I can't even keep this thing running to sell it... Recently got a P112b code. Symptoms were engine light, loss of power and fan runs while the car is on and when it is turned off. The fan runs for 5 plus minutes after the car is off. I have replaced the thermostat sensor 3 times this week with OEM Mini parts thinking they were faulty batch but they didn't do anything. I have seen other post on this page with that code but they don't seem to have loss of power so I thought id post it here. No coolant leaks what so ever. The car doesn't say its running at half power but it sure is. 2007 Mini Cooper S

Any help is appreciated

read live data to see what is aching it. Someone reported a faulty ambient sensor, the one behind the front bumper.

Was a bad thermostat sensor! Decided to just replace it myself. Worked great!

You replaced several times even used OEM. Which brand ended up working for you?

My bad. I meant it was a bad thermostat housing. I replaced the sensor multiple times thinking it was the issue but in the end, it didn't fix anything. Right after I replaced the housing everything started working again.
