Minis vs Automatic car washers

As we all know the antenna on our minis are not very ridged, will a automatic car wash damage the antenna.

It is recommended that you remove the antenna before going through a cat wash.

Our original bent going thru the car wash. I bought and installed a 'stubby' antenna. Life is good again..

If you only listen to AM / FM the antenna can be removed completely without losing any reception. Mine was unscrewed and the threads plugged. Both AM and FM stations are all still available, and I'm located the other side of a small mountain range from the closest stations.
