I’ve got one that I’ve used on Honda rear brakes for years. I tried it on my Mini when I needed to work on the rear brakes and it didn’t work. I just couldn’t turn the piston back in like on Hondas. I bought the brake caliper kit from Harbor Freight to do it. It requires a balance of pressure and turning to get the piston to retract. I think Autozone lends this kit out also.

I've had this for a few years now and is one of my favorite brake related purchases. It makes work so much easier. Skip the cube.
And I should add that I don't know if the cube will work or not, I understand everyone is on a budget, but sadly I can't help with OP's question.
I've got a cube that I've had for years. You can make it work on a MINI but you'll need to use a Dremel or similar tool to grind the "posts" on the closest set so they will fit into the rear brake adjusters. Once ground down properly, it just takes a little practice to make it work. For the few times it's been used, I've gotten my money's worth out of it.
Haven't had the opportunity to use one on a Mini yet. I've used it on Mustangs. If your calipers are in good shape, nice and clean, and well serviced, you can make it work. But if they are at all crudded up or sticky, you're going to find it very frustrating.
