Help! 08 clubman oil cap stipped

Help! 08 clubman oil cap stipped

help cap just spins and will not come off. it spins both ways. it will get tight and then loose. does this turning left and right. can I add oil through the dip stick tube till I get this solve? thanks

I see no issue with dipstick tube. Never had this happen, but if it was my cap I'd use a large vise grip plier and squeeze at the sides until I could get a grip on the inner part and turn. Probably break the plastic and then would need to replace the cap. Or just try prying the cap up and hopefully separate it from the metal part below. Then you could epoxy the plastic part back, or replace.

So it's finesse or force.

Force!!! Minnie.the.Moocher is probably right. You probably need to just grab that sucker with some channel-locks or something around the sides and make it come off, then replace it.
