Our R56 leaves a drip of brown fluid after each drive. It appears like it’s motor oil being brown and similar fluidity. It’s coming from above the right side of the fuel tank, running down the side and creating a pretty good wet spot on the fuel tank. What system would this oil or fluid be coming from? My best guess is from the lines that I circled in the attached picture, wherever those go to. They run upwards when they reach the fuel tank. Hard or expensive to fix? Or the opposite? Thank you. Looking from the right, rear.
Those are your fuel line and breather return line (part of the emissions control which may have oil misted into it but should not leak). Only other fluid at that end of the car is brake hydraulics which would be rather serious. Check you fluid level.

hi I’m having the same issue with mine r56 right now. Did you ever find out the issue? Was a problem with the brake lines? Or the fuel tank?
I mean, the obvious answer is that it's some sort of gasoline leak, which wouldn't be great.
You can access the top of the fuel tank from under the rear seat. Pop out the rear seat bottom (lift from the front and remove) and then there's a round panel on each side you can remove to access the top of the tank. I'd start there, see if there are any obvious leaks.
