Supercharger gaskets

I have my supercharger off and I took the water pump gear cover off the inspect the gears. I noticed there was no gasket, is this normal or did someone not put one in at some point?

I don't remember a gasket when I changed the oil in my supercharger but that was a year ago. The waterpump just slotted in and bolted up. BUT I'm gettin' old and ...you know.

There is no separate gasket used there, but I believe you do need to apply some anaerobic sealant (Permatex Blue?) to the cleaned up mating surfaces when reassembling.

Folks that have actually performed the operation will hopefully confirm this.

Curious as to how many miles on the s/c, and additionally, how did your your gears look?
