Weird N18 cold start noises

Hi all,

My 2011 MCS is making some weird noises on cold start, or even after just sitting for 4+ hours. My scangauge reads sometimes a peak of -11psi, and above roughly 2100 RPM's, there is some sort of grinding noise. I simply thought it was just a MINI thing at first when I bought the car in late December. Maybe around a week ago, noticed that the turbo is making a super high pitched noise only until boost goes up to normal driving pressure, and it changes pitch with the RPM's. Here is a video with the noise, and a pic of the scangauge. Thanks!!

Turbo is going out. The high pitch noise you hear is the turbine fines hitting the housing When you get the boost up the turbine is balancing itself and stops the noise. Take off the tube going to the turbo and check the turbine shaft for play any up down left right movement and you need a rebuild.

just checked, there's no shaft play and the bearing seems perfectly fine. The only thing I noticed that's slightly out of the ordinary is that the turbine has some slight discoloration. I'm not sure if it's just because its dark and I'm worried about my baby, but I'll check again tomorrow morning to be sure that it's not rust or other corrosion. Thanks for the help so far!!!!!!
