05 Mini Cooper S stalled out at light
Hello group ,
prior to this stall out happening I was hearing winding and then the day of the stall I heard clinking and install and wouldn’t start.
I had car towed to the shop across the street from where I live and they told me it was the starter so they replaced that . The car then started and the belt was still intact car did not overheat and the mechanic is telling me my supercharger is done 😳
I called my mini mechanic in California he said to check the seal of some sort and make sure it’s not that the mechanic told me to check the seal would be six hours labor any help would be greatly appreciated or direction on how to handle this because I’m ready to take it to Mini which I dread .
Here’s a video of the car before I took it to the shop trying to start it once he put the starter in it does start

It does sound as if something is binding up. Don't know how well of a mechanic you are but I would take the tension of the belt and see if the alternator, AC compressor and supercharger pullies turn by hand. The AC and alternator should spin, would think the SC will turn. If either of the three do not, chances are you have found your problem.
