Comfort Access help

Hey Everyone,

Recently upgraded from a 2003 Sport to a 2013 Bayswater. I just had it in for a few minor issues under warranty and they printed off the Options list that the car came with. I noticed it has the Comfort Access package! Unfortunately, none of those features seem to work. Doors dont unlock using the black buttons on the handles, car wont start without the key in the slot, etc. Neither key fob seems to unleash the powers they're supposed to.
Now the car is used, so I'm taking a guess that maybe the original fobs were replaced with non-comfort ones.

Is there any way to verify this hunch?
Is there anything else that it could be besides all sensors being shot?

The warranty is now expired, so I doubt they're going to help me out at BMW.

Just read that if the battery is out of the fob for 4 hours, it could lose the programming. And I do recall when I first got the car, one of them wasnt working so I replaced the battery. So that may also be the case...
Is this something they can quickly check, or will I need to leave them with my car for another day?

The fobs have to be ordered with comfort access but this feature must be programmed at the dealer to work. Most people buy the fob and skip the programming cost
