misfire

misfire

2011 mini clubman s misfire on 3. replaced cam sensors/plugs/coil/injector and still no fire to 3. 180 pounds compression. just stopped firing one morning and cant seem to find the problem

check electrical signals going to the coil pack and fuel injector.

checked them..no breaks in either..getting signal to injector during cycle..new injector. getting fire to coil through test light and voltage meter. still no joy. moved things around and all parts work on other cylinders. stripped all wiring out and cleaned and reconnected still no joy

What is the compression on other cyls?

same area. engine is tight. wondering if i should pull head and check #3 valves?

Humm...if compression, fuel amd spark all is good, then double check the timing to rule it out. If that checks, then either knock sensor or ECU is faulty.

ill hit it with timing gun tomorrow. and ill check knock senscrossong fingers on ecu..thanks
