Grinding flywheel/clutch?
Grinding flywheel/clutch?
I drive a 2006 Cooper S.
I had the clutch and shift linkage replaced about 15,000miles ago.
Lately when I start from a stop the clutch makes a grinding noise almost as if I'm riding the clutch really bad. It doesn't do it all the time though, only about half the time when the car seems to driving kind of rough in general. Ive noticed it's worse when I shift at lower rpm's. When I shift at higher rpm's it doesn't make the noise and it really only does it in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd.
Also when I downshift at low rpm's the car will shake pretty badly unless I give it a little gas and 1st gear also seems to be slipping occasionally.
What could be the issue here?
