I am a first time owner of a 2012 Countryman. I recently experienced flashing dash lights as well as head lights and tail lights. My husband who is a mechanic chalked it up to needing a new battery. The original battery had 68,000 miles on it and was 5 years old. We replaced the battery and it has been fine for the past week. However, when I got home from work tonight my tail lights would not turn off. I also recently experience a 'hot smell' when using the defrost. Anyone else have this issue? I am assuming I might have a mouse nest under the dash.

 

The module itself is behind the driver kick panel. Are there any other issues like front windows not rolling or head lights remaining on all the time?

 

So far we haven't had any other issues.

 

did you check if the options reset when the battery was replaced? What i mean is there is like a "follow me" light that keeps the lights on for 30, 60 or more seconds. Do they eventually turn off?
