I replaced the turbo at the end of May, and things went well for a little while.
Next problem was the housing filter gaskets leaking, and oil lines for turbo were corroded.
Sorted those out.

On November 19th the check engine light came on again, with the code showing issues with firing in cylinder 3.
The mechanic suggested replacing the plugs and coils, as they showed obvious wear, which appeared to resolve the issue - code cleared, test driving was clean, engine sounded better, performance was better.
The check engine light came on again over the weekend, so I brought it to the mechanic - issues with cylinder 3 compression.
Looking inside the engine with a camera they found that the piston head is melted, and the bore scored, which is going to be an expensive repair if it's even worth repairing.

For a 2012 car with ~88k miles this is ridiculous.

just get rid of it and go buy a pre 2010 vette for 10-15k. Got rid of my r56 and I’m done with German/British automakers.
