Looking at it again this morning, I think the WinXp in the VM is looking for a USB driver for the cable.... I did map the USB in the VM for both my jump drive and the cable, and XP did load drivers for the drive but not the cable.

 

so when you install the driver for the Cable, it doesnt go through? and you post pix of where it gets stuck?
