Where is and how to remove BCM 2010 Mini Cooper

HI,
I am trying to find out where the BCM is in my 2010 mini Cooper as I am having erratic electrical issues and believe that it has gotten wet and there may be corrosion.
I've searched around quite a bit and the most specific information I can find is it is in the passenger footwell behind the kick panel but I cannot seem to find it. I see the fuse box but don't really know what to look for aside from that.
Does anyone have any more specific information on where it can be found and any removal tips?
Thanks

BCM is also known as FRM...driver kick panel. What are the issues you're having?

Recap of issue;
About a year ago it was snowing and one of my turn signals didn't work. Next day it was fine and stayed that way for a number of months then it started acting up again. Right turn signal not working and High beams would randomly turn on and off. Left sunroof open during a torrential downpour and then stuff really got wierd, windows wouldn't open, dash lights off, etc.... Once it dryed out, was the same (No turn signal)> Local Repair shop diagnosed as a bad FCM as they said there was green corrosion on the board and said it had to be replaced at the dealer. I decided to live with the missing right turn signal.
Two days ago, high beams kept turning on and off while driving, hazards were on, lights wouldn't shut off even when the car was off. Had to disconnect battery. Next day, back to normal with just right signal not working.
I have an electronics background so I thought I might be able to remove the board and clean it up to see if I could avoid replacing it as the only certified Mini repair place here is a BMW shop and their labour rate is $165/hr and I can only imagine how much this will cost...

Yeah this is tylical behaviour of a failing FRM. Search it under that name and you'll see a tone of posts.

In short, you need no dealer or a mechanic for that matter. All you need is a used FRM with a matching part number and the following software: Inpa, Winkfp, and NCSexpert. Plus the k+dcan cable.
