What is this sensor on N18?

I was looking at my engine and noticed there was an unplugged sensor under the intake tube. Can't seen to find a connector that would plug into it.

Any idea what this sensor is? Looks like a cooling system related sensor since there is coolant residue around the washer.

No codes or anything, but my car is not showing Emissions Evap system as being ready. Have been driving it for 100+ miles since buying it and the system hasn't come ready yet (everything else has through).

That's the coolant temperature sensor that was relocated to the thermostat in later updates. You must had your t-stat replaced and they just left the original sensor there on the metal elbow - same as mine. It should be okay but I once had coolant leaking at the metal elbow connection... hopefully it's all good.
