Help HPFP again!!

So I bought a Mini. Specifically a 2009 Clubman S. One of the things I wish I had known beforehand is about the N14 hpfp going out... That being said I am on the road to recovery and have been researching the heck out of the issue. I am slightly confused however and am hoping y'all can help clarify. What is the latest HPFP part no./revision and has the issue been resolved? I have read in several threads which are far and few between that a Peugot/Citreon 1920LL Fuel pump will work also, is this a possibility?

The car has 130,000 miles so it's slightly outside of the MiniNA extended warranty - would it be pointless to call to see if they would still cover it? Obviously the worst they could say is no but has anyone had an experience where Mini did cover it? Any help is appreciated!!

Fuel pump

Always call the service care line and inquire. It's such an easy repair for a dealer make- do the leg work and find one that will help you. Appeal to their common sense and brand appreciation and be nice to them when asking for their participation. Good luck- hope you're on the road soon!!

Are the 2010 models still excluded from this extended warranty?
