Big Clunk when re-accelerating

I purchase a used 2004 base Mini Cooper and notice on the way home when I let off the accelerator for a sec or two and then re-accelerate that I fell and hear a big clunk. Both front axles were supposedly replaced along with all motor mounts.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance for the help!

Have you checked the motor mounts? The one under the engine (dog bone shaped) and the one on the passenger side of the motor via the hood.
