Looking to Buy '06 R53. Airbag light

As the title says, I'm looking at a R53. Only has 44k miles on the Odo. Looks like a minor leak from the rear main seal. But more concerning is the air bag light is on.

I was able to pull codes from the airbag system.

Code 02 - Ignition Circuit ZK1 / Belt Tensioner Driver

Code 88 - Side Airbag Sensor Front Left

Code 05 - Ignition Circuit ZK4 / Side Airbag Front Left

Does this look like someone disconnected something? Or should I be concerned that an Airbag may need to be replaced.

I know the Gen1s had a passenger side airbag mat sensor recall. I do no know whether that would throw the codes. You should be able to take the VIN and determine whether the recall was performed.

Also to add, the recall is for the passenger seat occupant sensor. Not the drivers seat, which is what the codes are for.

someone probably disconnected the seat and did not know to unhook battery first.

K I had the codes cleared and 2 codes came right back.

Code 02 - Ignition Circuit ZK1 / Belt Tensioner Driver

Code 05 - Ignition Circuit ZK4 / Side Airbag Front Left

So disconnected seat is off the board. And swapping seats will only cause the light to come on as the drivers seat does not have a occupant sensor like the passenger side.

Yeah been there, done that. Everything is hooked up. Codes wont clear. I suspect the air bag module in the seat or the main SRS control module. I just need to find out how to diagnose which is at fault.
