Replacing boot handle gasket

Does anyone have a diy for this? I poked around and didn't find one. I'd like to get this done as we're getting intermittent rain here. Thanks!

The trunk grip does not have a separate gasket only for the connection between the grip and the body.

Is number 14 the part that you are looking to replace? The foam gasket between the hatch and the handle? Just replaced mine about 2 weeks ago. Cost about $15, shipped. Part number 51 24 7 114 521.

Really simple job to do. Handle is held to the hatch by 4 Torx screws, and you have to remove the inner, lower plastic trim panel to access the electrical connector. You have to disconnect this connector to totally remove the handle. Panel is held in by 6 Philips head screws, and a lot of clips. Remove the screws, and pull the panel off the clips. Removing the panel also gives you the chance to check out any water damage. There are 2 foam pads on the panel that can get wet. I laid my panel out in the sun to dry the foam while I replaced the gasket.

Then simply pull off the original gasket/seal from the handle, and be sure to clean off all of the adhesive and foam that will still be stuck to the handle. Remove the backing from the new seal and fix to the handle. It can only go on one way. It is pretty self explanatory once you have it apart.

Also a good time to replace the license plate bulbs/lenses while the handle is off.

Perfect. Thanks so much! This is exactly what I was looking for. I got the part and it didn't come with instructions and I was at a loss. Thanks so much for the help and the tip!
