Reinstalling Lock Actuator

My inside handles stopped working and it turned out the Bowden cable came loose. Now I am trying to get it back together and I can't quite figure out how it fits. There is a metal bar that is attached to the back of the door lock cylinder. According to some instructions it's supposed to slot in to the mechanism. I can't find any slots on the actuator. the bar doesn't look like it does anything but I know it's got to have a purpose.
Here's a picture and below is a link to the instructions.

Figured it out. It goes in this slot in the actuator.
