I have a couple of Issues

Hello all, I'm new here. Been looking over the forms for the last couple of days. I got some answers but still need more.

First off Its a 2011 Clubman S
Im getting the half CEL and limp mode with codes P2068, P0087. From what I can gather on this I need to replace the fuel pump that's in the tank correct?

Also my Xenon lights wont turn on-ish. They will turn on as the pathway lighting and stay on for the 40's that it is set for. When I start the car they wont turn on. The only way I can turn them on is to do the pathway lighting first and then start the car and turn them on. They will only stay on for 10-15sec before both sides flicker and they turn off. I'm also getting a low beam/high beam malfunction warning for both sides. I checked the fuses and they are good. Also fog lights aren't working either. But the DTRL(I think that's what they are) right above it works. Any one have any Ideas the CEL I believe is the fuel pump but the lights have me stumped.

Thanks,
Travis

I ordered a new filter and pump just waiting for it to come in and then having time to replace them. I believe the factory xenon housings were installed afterwards because I don't see any tubes running to the headlight washer. anyway I was thinking if a battery goes dead could it erase the coding in the computer to activate the xenon lights? The battery was recently replaced.

Check if you have the xenon light option. Go to bimmer.work and see what you have.

These codes point to fuel rail low pressure. you might have a bad sensor on the rail. Also, the N18 engines (the one you have) is known to have issues with the HPFP (attached to the cyl head on the right). just keep that in mind.

So I looked on Bimmer.work and it was optioned with the Xenon. So not sure why I'm getting the failure.

Usually when lights and or windows start to go nuts, it is an indication of malfunctioning FMR (footwell module) remove the left kick panel and look for water intrusion and or corroded plugs. While you there, get the part number amd verify it with realoem.com for options.

I pulled the FMR and blew out the connectors. I also opened the box up and blew that out. It helped a little now with the engine on the headlights turn on but they still flicker without having to do the pathway lighting first. They still stay on with no flickering with the engine off. I've tried to download ncs-expert but haven't had any luck with getting it to work.
