Help!!! Dripping Mirror

What is my MINI "Mick" doing at night? His rearview mirror is dripping at a steady clip in the morning after a dewy night This lasts for at least an hour of driving. Big dropping globs of water hit the edge of the nav. or the dash if tipped back.

Does one give him penicillin or a new rubber (sunroof seal) ? Anyone else had this problem?

The liquid has to come from somewhere. Is it water or oil?
Maybe put a piece of paper right at the edge of the sunroof and see if it turns wet.
If a sunroof leak then see your service advisor.
Maybe it is tears your MINI wants to play but you are too busy

That amount of water is probably not condensation inside the car, especially since it will condense on the coldest part, like the windshiled which is glass, not the mirror, which is mostly plastic. Water is probably dripping inside the hollow mirror stem from the mounting point, and that means windshield or sunroof.

This might be an eariler issue discovered by some. If you have a sunroof, your drain tubes are clogged, thus causing "backup" in the sunroof rain-gutters and flooding in roof. CLEAN THEM OUT!

If you don't have a sunroof, then I can only guess your windshield needs resealing.

Definately water. The interesting thing is the sunroof doesn't leak in the rain. Am thinking one of the drains is clogged. Nearest servicew is 200 miles away, but may get there next week.

Yeah, MINI play time is at an all time low.....maybe you are right.
