Rattling noise just started?

Hello everyone! This is my first post!

I have an automatic 2006 Mini Cooper base with 34,000 miles, and today it started making a rattling/ish sound…It only makes this sound when the car is in drive and accelerating. When the car is in park, reverse, and neutral it does not make the sound, only when the car is moving it seems? And when I slow down the sound also stops, but starts again when I hit the gas. It seems to dissipate when we go faster.

It has never made this sound before today.

Random thought, today I also put the A/C on for the first time in months, as I usually drive with the windows down, could the A/C have something to do with it?

Would not think the AC would cause a sound only when moving/on the gas. Where do you hear the noise; front, rear, what side, under the hood? How long have you had the car? If the noise is in the front, does it increase or decrease when you turn the wheel?

The noise is coming from the front of the car, and it seems to be middle front because it doesn't seem louder on the left or right side. I got the car last August with 29,000 and have only put 5,000 miles. The noise seems to be consistent whether or not I turn the wheel, because even just going straight the rattle is still there. I can record the sound later.

If the motor mount is bad, would it cause the sound? (Just looked at the motor mount and it looks like it's leaking?)

I recorded the sound earlier too, if it will help.
