No Flow Radiator / Thermostat 2012 R56

I notice I have no flow of Coolant through my Radiator.
I have just replaced the rad, but it does not seem as if I'am getting any flow.

I think is happening is that the Thermostat is closed, and is not opening.

I took the thermostat off to inspect.

How can I trigger the Thermostat to open?

I have read about turning the AC on.

Even tried pouring boiling water onto the temp sensor, possibly I did not have the water hot enough.
I now read that it should open the circuit above 105° C

Nothing seems to open the Thermostat open.

Also reading around 11 Ohms on the Thermostat is that normal?

Any tricks?

Also I have read about a lot of these failing, how can one diagnose if that is in fact the issue?

Thank you

the only way I know is to bring the water up to that temperature. if it was your water pump, it would leak. it has to be that thermostat.

Just getting the engine hot and to temp will open it up. Are you getting a CEL or do you have a code reader?
