Adjusting the "miles to service" reading

Hiya,

Here's one for y'all ... I have an 04 CVT that was just serviced.

I asked the dealer to reset my "miles to next service" reading, but I don't think they did it right.

According to the manual, it can display in either miles or kilometers (miles change in increments of 35; k's in increments of 50). Even though it says "miles" on the display, I'm pretty sure the reading is in kilometers.

Anyone know how I could fix this myself?

Thanks,
nudavchzz

If you do alot of steady highway driving the computer will take this in account and count down alittle slower for service.
I ended up going 17K KM,on my first 15k KM service.
My second service, due in 25K KM came around at about 29K KM.
I can't see the computer having a problem with miles over kilometers.

As long is it hits zero when it's supposed to, and the dealer performs the service that's needed when it hits zero... why does it matter?

Besides, what makes you think the reading is wrong?
