Stock Problems/IssuesDiscussions related to warranty related issues and repairs, or other problems with the OEM parts and software for MINI Clubman (R55), Cooper and Cooper S(R56), and Cabrio (R57).
My mini is running rough. Seems to idle higher then normal and under any sort of moderate acceracation, it spudders/backfires like crazy and acts like it wants to die almost. Check engine light is on. Did an oil change almost 2 weeks ago and also replaced the stock resonator on the discharge pipe with one from WMW. Any suggestions what is wrong or where to start looking at? :(
First thing to do is to get an OBD2 code reader if you can. That will read out the check engine light codes so you can better pin down the problem. Without knowing the error codes, its just a guessing game.

I agree, an OBD2 reader is the most important tool you could get for your MINI.
There is no excuse not to have one, they are not expensive.
Mini still is not running right. Changed the spark plugs and cleaned the charge packs. I don't know if its just bad gas and new gas hasn't filter through yet. Filled tank with fresh gas yesterday. Here are the codes thrown. Haven't seen these code numbers with like the E's and F's. I know the pictures aren't the best quality.
