Alternator nightmare

Hi NAM! I'm new here and I'm loving it already. I have a 06 r53 and the last owner installed a new alternator. Unfortunately they broke the plug! So they have the individual pins plugged in and to make a long story short, they broke. is there any one out there who can point me in the right direction, I.e. A new plug or even a picture of the orientation of the wires so if I have to hard wire it nothing is reversed. Thanks much!

Cheers!
Joseph

I am going to move this to the Problems/Issues folder. There is an immense amount of information here on your model of Mini between the threads, the folders and the members. If you have not already done so, may I suggest you check that folder out as there are 63 threads dealing with alternators. You may find the answer you are looking for.

And, welcome to NAM, hope we can help solve your problem.

Update....

I unplugged the Psp to make sure it wasn't drawing on the alternator. I was able to repair the plug with a part from eBay, I'll put the link at the end because it was almost impossible to find. The alternator seems new but I guess I will replace it to rule that out. I tried bench testing it but I had no luck. Feel free to give your 2 cents!!

You should be able to bench test your alternator at just about any parts store.

That's probably what I'm going to do. I'm going to try a new alternator while I'm at it
