Spent two weeks replacing fluids and PS pump and NOW!

I cranked it up and didn't like the sounds I heard, ran it through the gear settings and the sounds went away and the CVT worked smoothly. Used Redline CVT fluid and new filter. Also replaced power steering pump with new OEM pump and proper fluid, and replaced PS pump fan as well as engine fan assembly. BUT NOW, my power steering doesn't work AT ALL. Before installing the new pump, the OLD pump was sluggish until it warmed up and then worked fine, but the NEW, not rebuilt, pump does not provide me with any assist at all! VERY FRUSTRATED!

Double check your fluids a few times...I had to add fluid a few times...also double check the electric plug...if it's not fully seated it's not going to work.

I did. Thanks! Unfortunately, still no power steering.

Sure was a lot easier to see the top of the pump when I had the battery box out. Wish I'd double-checked the plugs THEN!

If you take the PS fan out you should be able to squeeze your hands in there to double-check the plugs. At least that is how I did it with my R50...I haven't had any problems with my R53 yet...

With the fan off, I can get a finger on it but can't push very hard. Then's there's the inevitable bleeding....

That sucks...maybe you can get a screwdriver or something behind it to give you a little added umph...I don't remember what I had to do...maybe loosen the bolts that hold the PS in place...it's not going to just drop out on the floor...mine took a lot of moving around just to get it out...that may give you the extra space/flexibility you need to get a snug fit on the plug.

It'll be easier to remove the battery box again and reach right down from the top.

I'll pull the battery box. I like to SEE what I'm doing!

Pulled battery box, snugged plug. Tried to go for test run. Ran two seconds first start. Ran one second second start. Would fire at all on third try. Fuel pump must not be working now!

Went online and saw that some had removed key, replaced it and all was well. So I tied it. All is well!!! Thanks for the suggestion on the lose plug. Took quite a bit of leverage to snap the plug in! Thanks for the suggestion!
