Suddenly this morning my front right axle area decides to start clicking. It is a really odd clicking that is loudest when accelerating and decelerating in gear and quietest when coasting out of gear. Took it to a shop and they diagnosed it tentatively as a bad axle. I only have access to one car, and money is somewhat tight car so I will be ordering a new one from the local parts store instead of ordering one for them to install.
The problem is every site lists a couple different axles for an 05 cooper s r53. Inner seal diameters seem to differ across the board. How do I tell which one my car needs, the 35mm or 40mm seal diameter?
