Clutch noise?

this is my first time driving manual transmission. I currently purchased 03 mini cooper s with 84k miles from NAM member.
everything was fine when I brought this car at home and of course, my friend drove it for me coming back home and he taught me how to drive manual for few hours and I stalled many times. next day, I start up the engine in the morning and the car started making noise but as you can see on video, when i pressed on the clutch, noise stopped. and also when I slowly release the clutch pedal, it makes little noise but noticeable though.
any advise? hopefully, this doesn't cost over $500 for fixing it...

It's the clutch. In my opinion, I wouldn't worry about it unless the clutch is giving you problems. I have one '05 that sounds just like yours and another '05 with the same noise that's about 50% quieter. Both clutches are strong and they've been chattering for quite a while.

Thanks for the reply. Have your mini been checked by shop about this problem?
I'm glad that i have no problem with clutch but noise. It's not a big deal right?

Yes, I went to a MINI indy shop with the louder one almost a year ago. They weren't too concerned about it and indicated that many first gens that they see have the clutch chatter.

Is that clutch chatter or thow-out bearing chatter?

As far as I'm aware they're one in the same. A noisy throwout bearing doesn't necessarily mean urgent action must be taken. I put 25k on my Ranger with a bad TObearing and it was still going strong when I sold it.

Not one in the same, but is is true that it's not an urgent matter. His however is making a lot of noise which would indicate that it may go soon. If it were my car making that much noise, I would be planning on taking care of it sooner rather than later, it is only going to get worse... I would not replace just the throwout bearing unless I knew that the clutch was just replaced, which is unlikely. Typically, when the clutch is replaced, it just make sense to replace supporting components, ie, throwout bearing. just my 2cents...
