Changing spark plugs on N18 engine?

I'm just at 40,000 miles on my Clubman, and I am wanting to change out the spark plugs. However, I cannot figure out the trick to getting the coil harness disconnected! I know how to unplug the harness from the coil, but the harness is connected to the valve/cam cover

How do I get the coil harness disconnected from the coil and valve/cam cover without breaking anything?

Its just clipped on, If you just pull and rotate both spark plug coils on each side and pull up at once they just pop off. Its not actually connected to valve cover, just plastic clip. Note you need a really long spark plug tool.

Thanks! I just don't want to start yanking on the harness and end up breaking something.

I have a ton of socket extensions and a thin wall plug socket already.

Just did this a few weeks ago on my R56S. Use a small screwdriver to carefully pop up the two cover strips that run across the top of the valve cover. They just snap in. Then you can lift the coils up and unplug the connector.
