I've always ran a 50/50 of DI water and Denatured Alcohol in my injection system. The Denatured Alcohol is pretty expensive, around $15 for a gallon at Home Depot. I recently found out that there is a new race shop in two that sells VP M1 Methanol for $4 a gallon.

What cools down the intake air temps are reducing pining better.....a 50/50 mix of meth and water, or 100% methanol?

Any info would be great.

50/50, the water vapor is what's doing most of the cooling, the methanol is enriching the fuel.

 

Meth also adds octane, allowing for more timing. So there is a tradeoff.

Tune is very important. My SC BMW makes the most power with 100% with conservative AFR's. Meth merely richened up my AFR's until I got a proper tune.
