I'm having kind of a weird issue and I can't seem to find any post on this. It started happening a few weeks ago. When I ''open'' or put back the power mirrors to their original position it seems that the mirror is ''Skipping'' A teeth or something because it keep trying to open even when fully extended. The only way to stop that is to shut down the car or start driving so they get disabled automaticaly.

Any one have an idea what the probleme is ? Do Ii need a new motor ? Adjustment ? I haven't disassembled it yet but wanted to know what to look for first.

If it keeps trying to move past the stop, that sounds more like a sensor type issue. The teeth are skipping as a result of the motor not stopping. There has to be some sort of limit switch. That's probably what is malfunctioning.

 

Yes, that is pretty much what seem's to happen !
