Oil Seepage

Oil Seepage
Hello,
Very new owner here... Took this photo on a lift before I bought my 2013 R56 with the intent on figuring out what was seeping. I have been to RealOEM and cannot figure out what this is.
For orientation, I am standing below the engine, the top of the photo is facing the front of the car, the bottom of the photo is facing the rear.
I know is trouble shooting oil leaks, oil tends to wander around giving the observer a false sense of the location, however this was the only thing that was wet.
Can someone tell me what is wet and is it normal or something that needs looking into?
Thanks,
Blair

That is probably just remnant oil mess from oil changes, clean it off with brake clean and monitor it from there.
Other than that, it could be time to reseal the vacuum pump.

Clean the area off and keep an eye on it. Since you're new to the vehicle, it could be left over from a previous leak or it could be a new leak. Use this article here to help diagnose oil leaks like this one or new ones with your new-to-you MINI: http://www.pelicanparts.com/techarti..._Diagnosis.htm. Let me know if you have any questions.
